Experienced & Professional Teachers

Our Classes

We provide unique physical fitness classes exclusively designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired -- the first of its kind on Long Island. The classes include Martial Arts/Self Defense, Yoga, and Meditation instruction to promote physical activity and wellbeing.

Martial Arts

Martial arts training is not just about self-defense. It enhances flexibility, strengthens the immune system, and provides stress management tools that improve mental focus and emotional control.

Yoga

Yoga unites mind, body, and spirit. It promotes energy flow and relaxes the body amidst daily stress. Practicing yoga strengthens body awareness and movement patterns, and increases flexibility.

Meditation

Meditation is a powerful tool that can help cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude. Through stillness, we can control distractions, allowing positive thoughts to flow and help us cope with life's challenges.

How Being Active & Mindful Changes Our Lives

We all know that exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help you keep off lost weight. But did you know that it's also packed with all these other amazing benefits?

Helps you sleep better

Engaging in regular physical activity can contribute to falling asleep faster, improving the quality of your sleep, and achieving deeper sleep.

Lowers risk of health issues

Regular exercise not only helps prevent or manage various health problems but also engages cognitive function and lowers the risk of death from all causes.

Reduces stress levels

Engaging in physical activity stimulates numerous brain chemicals that can leave you feeling happier, more relaxed, and less anxious.

Fosters healthier habits

Engaging in mindfulness practices helps develop the ability to stay present, fostering body awareness. This is a key aspect of how mindfulness can facilitate the adoption of healthier habits.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
